TUITION REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Company X encourages all employees to stay current and continuously upgrade their knowledge, skills and abilities.
Eligibility
Regular employees of Company X employed continuously for a minimum of 6 months are eligible to participate in the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
Tuition reimbursement is pro-rated for eligible regular part-time employees (working an average of 20 hours or more per week on a regular basis).
Reimbursement
Courses of study must be directly connected with the current work being performed or that is expected to be performed while in the employ of Company X and completed at accredited educational institutions. The employee should use the Tuition Reimbursement Request Form to obtain their manager's approval on the course of study and each class prior to starting a class.
Company X will reimburse a maximum of $4,000.00 per calendar year to eligible employees:
Since Company Xwill not prepay education expenses, employees will be required to pay their own tuition,
books and fees and then submit grades and receipts upon completion of each course.
Non-reimbursable expenses include application fees, parking, interest or drop charges, travel, and meals.
Reimbursements will be reduced by any other source of payments to the employee, such as Veterans
Administration, scholarships, or grants.
Scheduling
Courses should be taken on the employee's own time. If the class is only offered during regular work
hours, the employee may request approval from their manager to rearrange their regular work hours to
accommodate course requirement.
